Climate Control

The home automation system allows you to control temperature, depending on the heating/air-conditioning requirement of individual rooms.    Each room can be set to the desired temperature according to room usage, the time of day or individual needs, providing optimised climate control.

Occupancy sensors can also be integrated, so heating will be switched on only if a person is detected in the room.    Once the room is unoccupied, the heating may go into 'comfort mode' (i.e. at preset room temperature) or swtiching off after a set period of time until a person is again detected.    A significant amount of energy can be saved this way, as heating will only ever come on as required, rendering environmental benefits as well as cost savings.    This is one of the ways automated systems can be used to positive ecological effect.

Another feature is frost protection; water pipes can be automatically monitored, the temperature being maintained to prevent them from freezing in cold parts of the year, or for periods for when a building may not be in use.
